Ruth and Robin
Welcome you to the Cavendish Arms.
Situated in Brindle, a small rural and ancient village set in farmland and bordered by the towns of Preston, Chorley and Blackburn.
We have some excellent walks within the area ranging from three to twenty miles all starting and finishing at the Pub carpark
At the heart of the village situated just 8 paces from the lych gate of the Parish
Church of St. James where two of the original bells are still regularly rung from the present church tower
which was constructed about 1500.
The Cavendish Arms has stained glass windows vividly recapture the tale of battle of
Brunanburh, where in 937 King Athelstan "won undying glory with the edges of swords, against the Norsemen" and the discovery of the great
Cuerdale hoard.
You will find a warm welcome, a fine selection of Cask Ales and delicious home cooked food. We also boast an impressive Beer Garden with a water feature. The pub also has Open Fires for those cold winter nights.
